Here are the key news and notes for Saturday, September 24:

Markus Wheaton is back in the Pittsburgh WR mix

After missing the first two weeks with a shoulder injury, Markus Wheaton will be back in action, but he won't be the clear No.2 receiver opposite Antonio Brown, according to Penn Live's Jacob Klinger. Wheaton will rotate among fellow vertical threats Sammie Coates and Darrius Heyward-Bey for Sunday's matchup with the Eagles.

Fantasy Impact: With four catches for 164 yards, Coates has made the biggest impact of Pittsburgh's secondary receivers, but it's tough to justify starting either him or Wheaton in all but the deepest of leagues. Wheaton averaged just over 17 yards per catch last season, but the approximately 40 percent of fantasy owners with shares in him may be disappointed by his lack of reliable production as long as Coates is around.

Charles Sims to have a three-down role?

ESPN Bucs reporter Jenna Laine tweets that backup RB Jacquizz Rodgers told reporters that he'll only enter the game "when Charles Sims gets tired." With Doug Martin (hamstring) missing out, Laine expects Sims to be a three-down back, with only occasional spelling from Rodgers.

Fantasy Impact: The Rams aren't the easiest defense to face, but Sims seems like a solid RB2 this week, given his expected heavy workload. He's especially valuable in PPR formats, as he's caught six passes for 36 yards thus far, and had 51 receptions for 561 yards in 16 games last season.

Brandon Marshall may sit out on Sunday

According to the New York Post's Zach Braziller, there is a "realistic chance" the Jets won't have WR Brandon Marshall in the lineup on Sunday against Kansas City. Marshall injured his knee last Thursday against the Bills, and though he stayed in that game, he's quoted as saying he's "not where I want to be" in terms of his readiness for Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: The Jets and Marshall may play it safe and rest the veteran for Week 3, so fantasy owners need to be prepared to start a backup option. A Jet-for-Jet replacement, WR Quincy Enunwa has hauled in 13 of his 14 targets for 146 yards and a TD, and would surely see a bigger role with Marshall sidelined. Enunwa is available in roughly two-thirds of all fantasy leagues.
