Minnesota Vikings defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd had surgery Thursday to clean up cartilage in his right knee and will be sidelined for Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers, head coach Mike Zimmer announced.
The 25-year-old missed some of the preseason due to the knee injury, and underwent a similar procedure on his left knee last November.
Shamar Stephen and Tom Johnson will likely see expanded roles with Floyd sidelined.
