Domestic violence charges against Ole Miss freshman defensive end Charles Wiley have been dismissed, according to his lawyer.

"The parties mutually agreed to dismiss the charges and (to) handle this matter privately," attorney Steve Farese said Thursday, according to Antonio Morales of The Clarion-Ledger.

Wiley was arrested in June and Ole Miss had been holding him out of football activities ever since. With the situation now resolved, the Rebels will make him eligible to play, a team source told Morales.

Wiley came to the Rebels as a four-star recruit out of Stockbridge, Ga. He was ranked 252nd overall on the ESPN 300.
