Baylor coach Jim Grobe: 'I don't know who Shawn Oakman is'
Wow, really Baylor?
Baylor beat Rice on Friday night in a game that was attended by former coach Art Briles and Shawn Oakman. While Briles sat in the stands, Oakman was spotted in the Bears' locker room after the win.
Oakman was indicted in July on sexual assault charges, which occurred just days after interim head coach Jim Grobe said there was "no culture of bad behavior" at Baylor.
When asked at his weekly press conference on Monday why Oakman was in the locker room, and what he did in there, Grobe was unsure who the former Bear was.
"I don't know who Shawn Oakman is, so I wouldn't be able to recognize him if he walked in the door right now. There were a lot of people around the room at the end of the game, " said Grobe. He added, "I have no issues, I didn't know he was there."
Whether the 64-year-old coach doesn't know who Oakman is, quarterback Seth Russell seems to, as he was seen sharing a moment of discussion with Oakman, and also addressed his locker room presence Monday.
Baylor's Seth Russell declined to share what Oakman said in the locker room. Russell vouched for Oakman & said he's going through tough time

For a school that is trying to change it's image in the eyes of so many, the school dropped the ball again.
