Arians: Cardinals weren't mentally prepared for Patriots
The Arizona Cardinals assumed they'd get an easy win against the Tom Brady-less New England Patriots, but instead became the latest team to regret underestimating Bill Belichick's crew.
Head coach Bruce Arians says he wasn't pleased with his team's preparation ahead of last Sunday's 23-21 loss.
"Where I think we failed a little bit last week was from Friday afternoon to Sunday night before the game of mentally preparing more for a game," Arians said, according to Bob McManaman of the Arizona Republic. "We're focusing on hopefully doing more mental preparation between now and game time than we did last week."
When asked if he was planning to do anything to help his team prepare more, Arians didn't hold back.
"That's their job, not mine," he said. "I've already prepared them. That's their job. It's how you do your homework"
