Canada will ice the same lineup for its World Cup opener that earned them a 3-2 overtime victory against Russia on Wednesday in pre-tournament action.

Head coach Mike Babcock met with reporters following practice on Friday, and noted that Carey Price will start in goal for the host team when they open against the Czech Republic on Saturday.

Meanwhile, forward Claude Giroux and defenseman Jake Muzzin will both sit once again.

Shea Weber was absent from practice on Friday, but that was merely for maintenance and he will reprise his spot on the Canadian blue line in time for Saturday's action.

In goal, Babcock also noted that Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford will serve as backup to Price.
