Former NBA player Samuel Dalembert was arrested Sunday after allegedly striking his girlfriend and her cousin.

He is facing two counts of battery, Jorge Milian of the Palm Beach Post writes.

The 36-year-old Dalembert apparently became upset when he found out that his girlfriend was leaving for Orlando with their two children, aged 1 and 8.

His girlfriend was found to have multiple facial injuries, along with an abrasion on her left shoulder.

She also alleged that Dalembert attacked her cousin when he tried to intervene. Dalembert allegedly grabbed him by the neck, threw him to the ground, then headbutted him.

According to the girlfriend, Dalembert had been "drinking excessively" and acting strange in recent days. Police arrived at the scene and found Dalembert to be "aggressive."

Dalembert last played in the NBA during the 2014-15 season as a member of the New York Knicks.
