Puig extends Hill's perfecto with incredible catch

Los Angeles Dodgers left-hander Rich Hill temporarily moved within six outs of history Saturday after Yasiel Puig's spectacular catch in left field kept his perfect game intact through seven innings against the Miami Marlins.

Puig, making his first start in left since 2013, chased down Martin Prado's deep drive and lunged for the incredible grab to preserve the gem for Hill, who was pulled from the game by manager Dave Roberts prior to the next inning after throwing just 89 pitches.

The veteran lefty was replaced by Joe Blanton, who retired the first two batters of the eighth before allowing a two-out single to Jeff Francoeur to end the combined perfect bid.
