Brady 'excited' to watch Garoppolo during suspension
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady endorsed teammate Jimmy Garoppolo as the latter is slated to start the team's first four games.
Brady is suspended for the first four games, and Garoppolo will see his first meaningful playing time as a result.
The two-time MVP provided Garoppolo with his full support, as the Patriots prepare for the first quarter of the regular season without him.
"I love being with Jimmy. I've enjoyed every day that we've spent with him. I wish him the very best obviously, for the team, for him personally," Brady said to Ben Volin of the Boston Globe. "You know when you see people that it means a lot to, you always want them to succeed as well. It will be tough to watch, but I'll be excited to watch and excited to learn and hopefully when I come back in October I'll be a better player than I am today."
Brady is expected to make his return Oct. 9 against the Cleveland Browns.
