Ajax captain Klaassen slams 'disgraceful' loss to Rostov

Ajax captain Davy Klaassen didn't hold back in his assessment of the Dutch side following Wednesday's 4-1 play-off loss to FC Rostov, a defeat that eliminated his club from contention for this season's Champions League group stage at the final hurdle.

"This is disgraceful. We lacked focus and guts," the 23-year-old said bluntly after the match.
Ajax was held to a 1-1 draw at home last week, and Wednesday's stunning result bounced the four-time European champion from the competition while sending the Russian club to the tournament proper for the first time in its 86-year history.
