Coats delivers epic faceplant on slide into third base

If there ever was a play symbolic of the Chicago White Sox season, it was Jason Coats' slide into third base Saturday night.

The rookie outfielder - in just his 18th game in the majors - whiffed on a slide into third base and got a face full of dirt for his efforts.

It wasn't all bad for Coats, however, as he would be driven in two batters later to plate the White Sox second run in an eventual 6-2 win over the Oakland Athletics.
