With an accessible pin location Friday, the eighth hole on the course at Rio 2016 is there for the taking, and the women in the field are taking dead aim.

After Xi Yu Lin of China aced the 140-yard par-3 for the first hole-in-one in women's Olympic golf history, New Zealand's Lydia Ko replicated the feat just an hour later.

The ace helped the top-ranked Ko charge up the leaderboard with a 6-under 29 on the front side to sit three strokes off the pace set by South Korea's Inbee Park.

Lin and Ko's hole-in-ones bring the total for Olympic golf to four after Great Britain's Justin Rose and South Africa's Jaco van Zyl each carded an ace during the men's tournament.
