Rose doubles down on claim that Knicks are a superteam

Derrick Rose is still telling anyone who'll listen how great he thinks the New York Knicks will be this coming season, even in places as far-flung as South Korea.

Rose, who signed with the Knicks this summer, traveled to Seoul for an Adidas promotional event this week, and during a press conference at the Lotte World Mall, he doubled down on last month's claim that his new squad is an NBA superteam.

"I still believe that," Rose said. "With that 'superteam' term, you gotta be very careful, I guess, if you're in the United States."

Not so in Korea, apparently.

"If you're playing on any team - it doesn't have to be in the NBA, it could be on the college level, high-school level - you should believe in yourself and have the confidence that you're playing on a superteam," Rose said. "I have a lot of confidence, and I'm not taking that back."

Rose went on to list some of the super teammates he's excited to be playing with in New York, including Carmelo Anthony, Kristaps Porzingis, and former longtime Chicago Bulls teammate Joakim Noah. He also dropped a few less obvious names, like Courtney Lee, Brandon Jennings, and ... Kevin Seraphin.

On top of having averaged just 3.9 points and 2.6 rebounds on 41 percent shooting for New York last season, Seraphin isn't even currently a Knick. He's an unrestricted free agent, who is yet to sign a contract.

If and when he does re-sign, maybe the rest of the basketball world will come around on this whole superteam thing.
