Alex Rodriguez wasted no time making his final game in pinstripes a memorable one.

The New York Yankees designated hitter was given a standing ovation by the Bronx faithful as he came to the plate for his first at-bat of his final game Friday. He promptly laced an RBI double off Tampa Bay Rays starter Chris Archer that scored Brett Gardner, tying the game at 1-1 and sending the new Yankee Stadium into a frenzy.

The double was the 548th of his remarkable 22-year career, moving Rodriguez into sole possession of 30th place on baseball's all-time list.
