Chad le Clos found out just how ruthless the internet can be after he was defeated by Michael Phelps in the men's 200m butterfly Tuesday night.
The South African swimmer, who was the subject of a death stare from Phelps prior to Monday's 200m butterfly semifinals, finished fourth, while his American rival took home the gold. Internet trolls were quick to react, changing le Clos' nickname on his Wikipedia page to "Michael Phelps Pool Boy."

That wasn't the only edit. Someone also added the line, "He died by the hands of Michael Phelps, being literally blown out of the water by the greatest American since Abraham Lincoln."
