The Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State Warriors have a well-documented rivalry that includes a heated playoff battle, sideline antics, hard fouls, and verbal jabs over the past few years.

Players from both teams have put those differences aside this summer as USA Basketball teammates.

DeAndre Jordan, in particular, is surprised to have become friends with Warriors Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Kevin Durant - who could've became a Clipper but instead relocated to the Bay Area this offseason.

"I wouldn't ever think I would be friends with certain guys four months ago," said a laughing Jordan, who welcomed the squad to his home for dinner when Team USA stopped in Houston for a tuneup, according to the Wall Street Journal's Jason Gay.

"Before, there was no way I'd invite certain guys to my house."

Now the players are all getting along, both off and on the court, where they're 2-0 in the Rio Olympics.

"Once you're around these guys you realize, 'Oh, they're cool,'" Jordan later told Michael Lee of The Vertical. "Before, I only looked at Draymond as Draymond who played for the Warriors. We always clashed. So, now that we've been together for over a month, it's been amazing. ... I'm happy to be playing with these 11 guys and we'll be bonded for life after this."

He added: "We just have a good time. We're a bunch of guys who range in age from 25 to I don't know how old Carmelo (Anthony) is … 40?"
