Tennessee Titans defensive back Marqueston Huff has been suspended for the first game of the 2016 season for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse, according to Jim Wyatt from the team's website.

The 24-year-old remains eligible to participate in training camp and preseason games with his suspension beginning on the first official day of the regular season.

He will return to the team's active roster Sept. 12 after the Titans' opener against the Minnesota Vikings.

Huff is entering his third season with the Titans. He made 15 tackles through 16 games last season with no starts, contributing primarily as a special teamer and depth defender.
