Alabama's Taylor cleared to practice; no final decision on suspension

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

Alabama offensive lineman Alphonse Taylor, who was suspended by the team last month for a DUI charge, has been cleared to practice.

Taylor was charged with DUI after striking a car in a parking lot, however it was later revealed that the lineman's blood alcohol level was 0.0.

After the Crimson Tide's practice Thursday, head coach Nick Saban announced that Taylor has endured an intense program and has been cleared to play, although there is no decision on a suspension as of yet.

Taylor started in all 15 games last season with Alabama, but was relegated to second string in spring practice, due to weight issues.

The Crimson Tide open the season Sept. 3 against USC at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
