The Argentinian striker was spotted on the Sevilla bench in a friendly match against FSV Mainz 05 on Thursday, heightening speculation that a deal was on the verge of being announced.
Vietto only joined Atleti last summer from Villarreal for around €20 million but failed to impress in 2015-16, with 12 La Liga starts yielding just one solitary strike. The 22-year-old's previous campaign at the Estadio El Madrigal he shone, though, claiming 12 strikes in just 17 starts.
Sevilla also added Wissam Ben Yedder on Saturday, the fleet-footed Frenchman who has been a consistent and popular performer at Toulouse over the past four seasons.
