Dodgers acquire Reddick, Hill from A's

The Los Angeles Dodgers went shopping in the East Bay and came away with a pair of upgrades they sorely needed.
Los Angeles has acquired right-hander Rich Hill and outfielder Josh Reddick from the Oakland Athletics for pitching prospects Jharel Cotton, Frankie Montas, and Grant Holmes.
Hill is on the disabled list with a blister issue he's been battling throughout July, but that evidently didn't scare off the Dodgers, who are badly in need of pitching after with their staff suffering from myriad injuries themselves. The 36-year-old owns a career-best 2.25 ERA in 14 starts for the Athletics this year.
Fantasy Fallout: Hill a great buy-low candidate
Reddick has also missed time this season due to an injury but has been a steady member of the A's outfield when healthy. The 29-year-old owns a .296/.368/.449 line with eight homers this year while providing Gold Glove-caliber defense in right field.
Both Reddick and Hill will be free agents at season's end.
Holmes, the Dodgers' No. 5 prospect according to MLB Pipeline, owns a 4.02 ERA in Single-A Rancho Cucamonga this season. Montas, acquired by the Dodgers from the White Sox in the offseason, was the team's No. 8 prospect. He pitched seven games for the White Sox in 2015, starting two. Cotton owns a 4.90 ERA at Triple-A Oklahoma City, and boasts a powerful fastball-changeup combination.
