Troy Taormina / USA TODAY Sports

The Houston Astros have traded right-hander Scott Feldman to the Toronto Blue Jays, the clubs announced.

Houston will receive minor-league pitcher Guadalupe Chavez in return.

Feldman has pitched mostly in relief for the Astros this season after making just five starts. He owns a 2.90 ERA and 42 strikeouts in 62 innings pitched. The 33-year-old is in the final season of a three-year contract.

Chavez, 18, owns a 1.69 ERA in 32 innings with the Blue Jays' Rookie League affiliate in Bluefield.
