Fresh off signing with the Miami Heat for $5.93 million over two years - leaving $6.8 million for next season alone on the table in Oklahoma City - Dion Waiters explained his decision to take both a pay cut and his talents to South Beach in an Instagram post Tuesday.
The 24-year-old will compete with Josh Richardson, Tyler Johnson, and Wayne Ellington for the starting two-spot following Dwyane Wade's move to Chicago.
Waiters averaged 9.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, two assists, and a steal while earning $5.14 million with the Thunder in 2015-16.
