Report: Antonio Cromartie may retire due to hip problems
Antonio Cromartie remains an unsigned free agent and his next move may be toward retirement.
The veteran cornerback has been battling hip problems and may call it a career after 10 seasons in the league, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Cromartie had been linked to the Arizona Cardinals, Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, and New York Jets at varying points of the offseason, but has yet to reach an agreement with any team. With training camps set to open across the league, he could still net interest from teams looking to bring a veteran presence into its defensive backfield.
Cromartie was cut by the Jets in February after just one season into a four-year deal he signed in 2015. He recorded a career-low 29 tackles in 15 games last season and failed to net an interception for the first time since his rookie year.
