5 ugly jerseys Sale should've cut up instead

With news Saturday of Chicago White Sox ace Chris Sale's reported throwback jersey-cutting tantrum, it's worth wondering if maybe the southpaw's clip job would have been better put to use shearing some of baseball's other hideous getups.

Here are five ugly jerseys we'd be happy to have Sale cut up:

Rays: 'Turn Back the Clock Night'

The only good thing about the Rays throwing it back with these powder blue travesties is the $19.76 tickets they release exclusively for the special night.

Twins: Red alternates

Minnesota tried to play up its Twin Cities moniker for the 2016 season, but ended up settling on a brutally plain red outfit that radiates wasted potential.

Padres: Navy camouflage

The Padres had the right idea paying homage to the U.S. Navy in their new alternates this season, but the execution might have fallen a little flat with the hideous digital blue camouflage.

2016 All-Star

It's fine that MLB was trying to honor host San Diego's history with the uniforms for this year's All-Star events, but the cardboard-mustard scheme just doesn't work as well today as it first did in the 1970s-80s.

Diamondbacks: Road grays

By cutting up Arizona's awful road grays this season, Sale would make sure no one ever mistakes a Diamondbacks player for an MLB umpire ever again.
