SMU feels it has 'assets no one else can offer' Big 12

It's soon going to be easier to count the teams that aren't interested in joining the Big 12.

Add SMU's name to the list of programs that feel they should be the next team to join the conference.

The Mustangs would have a natural rivalry with teams in the Big 12 from the state of Texas, but there are other things to consider. SMU has gone 3-21 over the past two years and boasts a football stadium that only holds 32,000.

It's hard to imagine SMU getting selected to join the Big 12 over teams like Houston or Memphis.
