Report: Ibrahimovic to miss United's preseason tour of China

Fans in China hoping to catch a glimpse of Manchester United's biggest summer signing may be out of luck.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic could miss the team's preseason tour of China, with manager Jose Mourinho deciding to leave him behind ahead of the team's flight Tuesday, according to the Guardian's Jamie Jackson.

Instead, it's expect the Portuguese gaffer will debut the Swedish star against Galatasaray at the end of the month, or against Everton on Aug. 3.

The decision is designed to give the 35-year-old, who arrived at Old Trafford on a free transfer after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expired, extra rest ahead of his first season in the Premier League.

The English side's July 30 match against Galatasaray, however, could see Ibrahimovic play in his first match as United clashes with the Turkish team in Sweden.

United will play Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City during its one-week stay in China.
