Michigan State's Edmondson identified as recipient of Draymond Green slap
The person Draymond Green slapped, which resulted in the Golden State Warriors star's arrest, was none other than Michigan State football player Jermaine Edmondson.
A police report obtained by ESPN's Dan Murphy confirmed that Edmondson was the alleged victim of Green's assault.
Edmondson plays defensive back for Michigan State - the same school Green proudly attended from 2008-12. Last year, Edmondson recorded 24 tackles, three pass breakups, and two fumble recoveries.
In a statement to police, Edmondson said he and his girlfriend were "choked out" by two men who were with Green at a bar on Friday night, roughly 24 hours before the incident that led to the arrest actually occurred. Edmondson said he ran into Green at the same establishment Saturday night, and when he confronted Green about the previous night's events, Green punched him in the jaw.
