Canadian quartet vilified online after anthem lyric swap
After switching the lyrics to "O Canada" on the fly at Tuesday's MLB All-Star Game and holding up a sign reading "All Lives Matter," Canadian quartet The Tenors were lambasted on Twitter over the controversial lyrical swap and message:
@TenorsMusic @MLB @AllStarGame go away and think about how wrong that was, then apologize sincerely

@TenorsMusic i can't figure out if you're knowingly racist or blindingly ignorant. I really don't know.

@TenorsMusic what the hell was that you lunatics? Absolute disgrace.

@TenorsMusic That stunt you just pulled was utterly shameful. Disgusting. @MLB

@TenorsMusic that was horrible! Shame on you! I hope you never have a chance to publicly sing the anthem ever again. You don't deserve it.

Nice of you guys to alter your national anthem lyrics to piss off your country & take a political stance to piss off another, @TenorsMusic

The Tenors, a JUNO award-winning group from British Columbia, changed the lyrics midway through the Canadian anthem, singing "we're all brothers and sisters/all lives matter to the brave" instead of the original line, "with glowing hearts we see thee rise/the True North strong and free."
They later released a statement apologizing for the incident and condemning a "lone wolf" member for acting on his own.
