Report: Kings make Koufos, Gay, McLemore available in trades

The Sacramento Kings are looking to further shake up their roster after an active first week of free agency.

On the heels of signing free agents Arron Afflalo, Matt Barnes, Garrett Temple, and Anthony Tolliver, the Kings have reportedly made Kosta Koufos, Ben McLemore, and Rudy Gay available in potential trades, league sources told Marc Stein of ESPN.

The Kings reportedly engaged in trade talks with the Indiana Pacers regarding Gay last week. The 29-year-old is set to earn $13 million this season and holds a player option that allows him to opt out of his deal next summer. He is coming off a year in which he averaged 17.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.4 steals in 70 games.

Koufos is owed $16.4 million over the next two seasons and holds a $8.7-million player option for 2018-19. The 27-year-old center appeared in 78 games last season, averaging 6.8 points and 5.4 rebounds. The Kings selected a pair of centers at the draft in Georgios Papagiannis and Skal Labissiere which could push Koufos out.

McLemore spent his entire three-year career in Sacramento, but saw his production take a step back last year. After averaging 12.1 points in 82 starts in 2014-15, the 22-year-old averaged 7.8 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 68 games (53 starts) last year. The shooting guard also missed time in March after fracturing his right ring finger.
