Mavericks trade Jeremy Evans to Pacers

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports / reuters

The Dallas Mavericks traded forward Jeremy Evans along with cash considerations to the Indiana Pacers.

It's unclear as to what the Mavericks will receive in return.

Evans signed a two-year, veteran's minimum deal with Dallas last summer, but found himself stapled to the bench. He only made 30 appearances and averaged less than 10 minutes per game.

Prior to his stint in Texas, the 6-foot-8 forward was a bench contributor for the Utah Jazz. He was an efficient finisher and leveraged his otherworldly athleticism and length into a strong block rate in limited minutes.

Evans averaged 2.4 points and 1.8 rebounds last season. He figures to fit in as a third-string forward on the Pacers' depth chart.
