Report: Juventus rejects City's £38M bid for Bonucci

Manchester City will have to bring a bigger offer to the bargaining table if it has any chance of prying Leonardo Bonucci away from Juventus.

The Premier League side's £38-million bid for the defender has failed to convince Juve to sell, according to Sky Sports, with the Italian champions insisting Bonucci is not for sale following his impressive display at Euro 2016 with Italy.

According to Italian outlet Tuttosport, as translated by the Daily Mail, City planned on offering the 29-year-old a five-year deal that would pay him roughly £6 million in annual wages.

Along with the Italian club, Bonucci is also believed to have declined a move to the Premier League.

Chelsea is also said to be interested in Bonucci's services, with new manager Antonio Conte, who is fresh off leading Italy to the quarter-finals at Euro 2016, set to takeover at Stamford Bridge. The former Juventus boss will reportedly inquire about the player he coached at the club and international levels.
