New York paper slams Reyes after Mets return

Not everyone in New York was happy to see Jose Reyes return to the Mets.

The New York Daily News used its Wednesday front page to highlight Reyes' October arrest for a domestic violence incident, in which he allegedly grabbed his wife by the throat and slammed her into a glass door, in addition to the standing ovation he received in his first game as a Met since September 2011.

Reyes, who went 0-for-4 with a strikeout in the Mets' 5-2 loss to Miami, acknowledged the conflicting feelings toward his return to New York before the game, telling reporters: "There are some people who are going to hate me." He also apologized for the incident.
