Heat fan gets tattoo of Ray Allen's famous 2013 Finals shot
Ray Allen's incredible corner 3-pointer from Game 6 of the 2013 NBA Finals has been commemorated in tattoo form.
The tattoo is the work of New Zealand artist Steve Butcher and appears on the outer right arm of Miami Heat fan Fiona Wong. It took a total of 14 hours to complete and cost Wong about $2,800.
Allen made the shot with 5.2 seconds left to force overtime, and the Heat went on to win the game as well as Game 7.
"I personally think that the Ray Allen shot is the greatest shot in NBA history because of its significance and how it changed history," Wong told ESPN's Darren Rovell. "No one can predict how things would've been if Ray hadn't made that shot and the Spurs went on to win the title that year. Would LeBron (James) have left? Would Ray have retired?"
