Ex-NFLPA president blasts critics of player salaries, defends CBA

An increased NBA salary cap allowed many mid-level basketball players to receive gargantuan contracts on Friday and Saturday. As a result, many football writers and fans critiqued the NFL for not paying their players a comparable amount.
Former NFLPA president Kevin Mawae was fed up with the misinformation circulating and defended the NFL's CBA for being player-friendly, pointing out a number of advantages players gained under the latest agreement.
