The 2015 season may be long over but Deshaun Watson continues to rack up the awards.

Clemson's star quarterback added another honor to his growing resume, capturing the Anthony J. McKevlin Award as ACC Athlete of the Year on Thursday.

"This is a great honor, especially when you consider in 63 years Seshaun is the just the second (Clemson) athlete across all sports to receive this award," head coach Dabo Swinney said in a statement. "He had a special season, and is very deserving. I am just as proud of him of the way he handles himself and represents our school and our conference."

Watson led the Tigers to the ACC championship, and an Orange Bowl victory in 2015. Clemson suffered their only loss of the campaign in the national championship game to Alabama, a contest that saw Watson set a record with 478 yards of total offense. The sophomore became the first quarterback in FBS history to throw for at least 4,000 yards and rush for at least 1,000 in the same season.

He captured ACC Player of the Year honors and also took home the Davey O'Brien and Manning Awards as the nation's top quarterback, and finished third in Heisman trophy voting.

Watson received 28 votes from the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association, easily beating Virginia basketball player Malcolm Brogdon, who finished with 13.
