One day after setting the franchise record for consecutive wins, the Cleveland Indians had a pair of key contributors honored for their standout performances in June.

Right-hander Danny Salazar and outfielder Tyler Naquin were named the AL Pitcher and AL Rookie of the Month for June, respectively, after the duo helped the Indians to their first-ever undefeated month at home amid the longest winning streak in the majors this season.

Salazar led the majors with a perfect 5-0 record in June, compiling a 1.91 ERA with 35 strikeouts in 33 innings while limiting opponents to a .177 batting average. The hard-throwing right-hander paces all AL starters with a 2.22 ERA this season.

Meanwhile, Naquin is coming off a breakout run less than three months into his major-league career, after hitting .338/.434/.785 with six homers, five doubles, and three triples in 23 June games - three of which he came off the bench.

Astros second baseman Jose Altuve (.420/.492/.620, 4 HRs) received AL Player of the Month honors, while the NL awards went to Padres first baseman Wil Myers (Player of the Month - .327/.429/.765, 11 HRs), Cubs lefty Jon Lester (Pitcher of the Month - 5-1, 44 Ks, 1.41 ERA), and Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager (Rookie of the Month - .343/.409/.676, 8 HRs).
