Nebraska head coach Tim Miles will comply with Andrew White III's request for a transfer, allowing the swingman to play elsewhere next season as a graduate transfer.

"I spoke with Andrew late last evening in which he asked me how he can proceed with a release from Nebraska," Miles said in a statement. "There have been discussions with Andrew and his father about Andrew's place in our program for months and this is his decision. Even though I am extremely disappointed, he will be given a complete release as the logistics are handled this week."

White played two seasons at Kansas before transferring to the Cornhuskers' program. After sitting out the 2014-15 season, the 6-foot-7 Virginia native was excellent in his redshirt junior campaign, averaging 16.6 points and 5.9 rebounds per contest.

White declared for the 2016 NBA Draft before withdrawing his name at the deadline, deciding to return to school. While most figured that meant another season at Nebraska, White has decided to finish his college career at a third stop.
