Real Madrid's James Rodriguez: Win over USA for Copa bronze

Rodriguez took three shots, with one on target, en route to a 1-0 win over USA in Copa America Centenario third-place game which gives the Colombians the bronze medals. He finished the tournament with two goals on 19 shots (six on target), one assist and a yellow card on seven fouls in six appearances (five starts) taking his international record to 16 goals in 47 caps.

Analysis:

James laid the foundation of the winner with a beautiful pass to find Santiago Arias' run in the box. The former had plenty of opportunities to turn this tournament into a scoring feast, though, he played under pressure to perform well and prove his worth after a trying campaign with Real Madrid. The 24-year-old creative midfielder couldn't find regular playing time with his club last season, though, he showcased his prolific skills whenever given opportunity finishing the season with seven goals, eight assists and an average of 1.5 shots per game in 26 La Liga appearances (17 starts).
