Reggie Bush says he's received interest from 2 teams

Reggie Bush is still generating some free-agent interest heading into his age-31 season.

Making an appearance on SiriusXM NFL Radio on Thursday, the veteran running back explained that he's taking his time in weighing the options that have come about on the open market thus far.

"I've gotten calls from two teams, but at this point I'm kind of taking by time and being patient and weighing my options," Bush said. "I want to make the best decision for me and my family. And also pick the team that I feel is going to be the best fit for me. It's a process, it takes time, but I just want to make sure I do it the right way."

Bush missed five games during his second of two years in a Detroit Lions uniform, and his 2015 season spent with the San Francisco 49ers came to an end after he suffered a knee injury in Week 8.

Now healthy, the former first-round pick is confident he has plenty left to offer.

"My body feels great," Bush said. "To have played in the league 10 years, I definitely feel as good as I can be. I don't feel like I lost a step, I don't feel slow. I feel like I can still go out there and be effective."

Bush's last productive season came in 2013, when he tallied 1,006 rushing yards, 506 receiving yards, and seven touchdowns across 14 starts for the Lions.

Any interest he receives between now and the start of the regular season would likely be from teams looking to add some pass-catching ability out of the backfield.
