Pippen: 1995-96 Bulls are the greatest team ever
The Golden State Warriors may have the most wins in a single season, but that doesn't make them the greatest team in history, according to Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen.
Pippen appeared on ESPN Radio's "Mike & Mike" when he was asked to name the best team ever.
"The 1995-96 Bulls," he replied. "We live on."
This isn't the first time Pippen has been critical of Golden State, as the Hall of Famer said earlier in the year that his Bulls would sweep the Warriors if the two faced each other.
"We had done so well and now we're faced with the same thing that the Warriors were faced with," Pippen added. "Can this team be considered one of the greatest teams? Well, you can't be considered a great team until you win a championship."
Pippen's former teammate Dennis Rodman also jumped on the opportunity to bash the Warriors after their collapse. The "The Worm" also called the 1995-96 Bulls the greatest ever immediately following the conclusion of Game 7.
Pippen continued, saying: "No matter how well you do in the regular season, it has to be capped off with a championship, to really mark your legacy in the game. That's where we see Golden State had some failure there. They lost their dominance throughout the playoffs."
