Ole Miss lands 4-star LB Willie Gay Jr.

Ole Miss increased its depth on defense Friday when four-star linebacker Willie Gay Jr. announced his commitment to the Rebels.

At 6-foot-2, 215 pounds, Gay Jr. provides Ole Miss with the 153rd-ranked recruit on the ESPN 300. The addition secures Ole Miss a highly sought-after talent who had received offers from Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

Gay Jr. joins wide receiver D.D. Bowie, defensive end Bryan Jones, and linebacker Josh Clarke as four-star recruits who have committed to Ole Miss' 2017 recruiting class.
