The Miami Marlins have pushed themselves into wild-card contention, but that hasn't stopped teams from checking in on the availability of two of their young outfielders.

Marcell Ozuna and Christian Yelich have reportedly been drawing trade inquiries, sources tell Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports, though the Marlins are adamant they won't deal from their major-league roster in order to upgrade a struggling rotation.

Miami starters rank 12th in the majors with a 4.23 ERA. Adam Conley and Tom Koehler have given the Marlins reliable innings behind ace Jose Fernandez, but big offseason signing Wei-Yin Chen has been a disaster.

It was reported Monday the Marlins' search for starting help included Tampa Bay, as the front office reportedly had preliminary contact with the Rays regarding Jake Odorizzi.

Miami sits 5.5 games behind the division-leading Washington Nationals, and in a tie with the New York Mets for the second wild-card spot. Rosenthal notes Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria is willing to increase payroll if the team remains in contention.

Ozuna garnered plenty of interest over the winter from other clubs, though manager Don Mattingly and hitting coach Barry Bonds voiced against dealing the 25-year-old. That decision has paid off handsomely, as Ozuna is hitting .322/.374/.57 with 15 home runs and 11 doubles in 69 games.

Yelich has also enjoyed a strong season offensively, hitting .317/.404/.496 with six home runs and 19 doubles in 65 games.
