After playing in a combined 97 games this freshly concluded season, Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James will likely skip this summer's Olympics in Rio, The Vertical's Chris Mannix reports, citing league sources.

James has yet to inform USA Basketball of his decision, but officials are moving forward with the assumption he won't suit up.

LeBron has played in the last three Olympics for Team USA, leading the team to gold medals in 2008 and 2012.

He'd join several stars who've opted not to play in Rio, including Stephen Curry, Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul, Anthony Davis, and James Harden.
