Suarez becomes 1st Mexican driver to win NASCAR national race

Daniel Suarez entered the history books after winning the Xfinity Series race at Michigan International Speedway on Saturday.
The 24-year-old held off Kyle Busch, who led 88 of 125 laps, to become the first Mexican-born driver to win a NASCAR national series race.
"To be able to be an example to bring more people is great," Suarez told reporters.
With the win, Suarez also became the first non-American to lead any of NASCAR's three national series in points. It was the first win for Suarez in 48 career races.
"Congratulations to those guys," Busch told Steve Kaminski of Michigan Live. "They did a good job. I'm proud of Daniel. He has done a lot of work and done a lot of things to get to this point."
