Saturday was quite the day for Miami outfielder Jacob Heyward, who played against Boston College in the Super Regionals and got drafted by the San Francisco Giants.

The younger brother of Chicago Cubs outfielder Jason Heyward, Jacob was selected by the Giants in the 18th round, 545th overall, while playing left field at Mark Light Field in Coral Gables, Fla. against the Eagles.

The junior is one of only four Hurricanes to start all 59 games for the club, slashing .226 with six home runs and 37 RBIs entering Saturday's contest.

Heyward, 20, and the 'Canes are favorites to defeat the Eagles, and led the series 1-0 before the game.
