Jim Kelly believes Rex Ryan faces playoff ultimatum
Buffalo Bills legend Jim Kelly believes head coach Rex Ryan faces an ultimatum entering the 2016 season: snap the NFL's longest playoff drought, or be fired at the end of the campaign.
Ryan is going into his second season as the team's head coach after posting an 8-8 record in 2015.
"I think Rex will probably be looking for another job (if he doesn't make the postseason)," Kelly said Thursday on "The Jim Rome Show."
"I think everybody knows that, including Rex."
Gaining a playoff spot is no easy task in the AFC East, especially when the New England Patriots cast an ominous shadow over the division. But Ryan will be forced to show progress, whether his job is directly on the line or not.
Kelly, who was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2002, led the Bills to four consecutive Super Bowl appearances from 1990-93.
