If Peru fans were counting their chickens before they hatched, Ecuador just scrambled those hopes.

Ecuador attacker Miller Bolanos restored the deadlock with Peru with an easy, open-goal tap-in, the fruits of his team's combined efforts in a four-pass moving sequence just three minutes into the second half of play.

Peru took a 2-0 lead in the first half and, as such, fans of Los Incas started to hold hope of advancing from Group B one match early, but Bolanos' goal put a stopper to those dreams and swung the pendulum of momentum back to Ecuador's direction.
