Max Holloway erased any doubt that he's ready for a shot at the featherweight title.

"Blessed" put on a near-flawless striking performance against one-time title contender Ricardo Lamas to win a unanimous decision at UFC 199 on Saturday in Inglewood, Calif.

Holloway and Lamas went to war for the entirety of their allotted 15 minutes, saving some of their most frantic strikes for the final seconds:

When the scorecards were read, it was Holloway walking away with the unanimous-decision win. He's now unbeaten in his past nine bouts.

The first round was all Holloway. The 24-year-old Hawaiian's striking and takedown defense were on point, which gave Lamas few options other than to avoid Holloway's most dangerous strikes:

Holloway continued to find Lamas' chin in the second round, but Lamas landed hard punches of his own to keep Holloway honest. Lamas' resiliency only seemed to incite Holloway to further violence and he laid into Lamas as the round came to a close:

All three judges scored the fight 30-27 for Holloway, though that doesn't reflect the toughess of Lamas who lost for the second time in three fights.

Afterwards, Holloway declared his intentions to challenge for the featherweight championship.
