Until the rookies from the Tennessee Titans' 2016 class make the team, veteran tight end Delanie Walker isn't interested in starting any friendships with them.

"I don't get to know anybody until they make the team," Walker told Jason Wolf of The Tennessean. "I talk to them, but they might not be here. There ain't too much I need to learn from them till they make the team. That's everybody. Anyone that's a rookie.

"You've got to earn the right. These rookies come in nowadays, stuff's given to them. I'm not going to be your friend until you make the team."

Walker is one of the Titans' veteran leaders on a team that, thanks to its 10 rookie selections, has become dramatically more youthful this offseason.

"They don't talk to me at all. Not at all," Walker said. "I'm a good dude, but they know. You've got to make the team first."

One can understand the 31-year-old's desire to make sure he isn't wasting time developing friendships that won't impact his team's success given the high turnover on NFL rosters on an annual basis.
