Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo paced all National League players with 874,471 votes after Major League Baseball revealed its first All-Star ballot update for the Senior Circuit on Wednesday.

Rizzo was among five Cubs in line to start the Midsummer Classic, joining second baseman Ben Zobrist, third baseman Kris Bryant, shortstop Addison Russell, and outfielder Dexter Fowler.

Several other Cubs remain in position to represent first-place Chicago at the July 12 game in San Diego, including catcher Miguel Montero (third in voting) and Jason Heyward, who sits in fourth behind Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes.

Reigning NL MVP Bryce Harper leads all outfielders with 838,599 votes, while Cardinals backstop Yadier Molina is on pace to secure his eighth career All-Star appearance.

Royals catcher Salvador Perez, who remains sidelined after bruising his knee during a collision Saturday, leads all major leaguers with 1,094,942 votes.
